Journey Off the Map VBS 2015, June 15-19, 9 am - 12 noon
VBS 2015 takes your kids to uncharted territory where they will begin to understand that obedience to God can lead them beyond the expected. So, grab the map, stick close to your guide, and prepare to listen for God's direction in this journey. Children must be at least 4 years old by September 1, 2014 through completed 5th grade. |Learn from Your Leaders
Wednesdays @ 6 pm, May 20 - August 5
A 12-week series of Bible studies and training led by your church staff. Each lesson will be taught by a different member of the ministerial staff and will help you gain a better understanding of the various areas of ministry of FBJ. Each session will include Q & A. Held at 6 pm in the Chapel.
|Move: Kids Summer Discipleship
Wednesdays @ 6 pm, begins May 20
This summer kids will take a look at the lives of people in the Bible who changed directions and moved when they came face to face with Jesus. “Move” will meet Wednesdays at 6 pm beginning May 20. Completed 1st - 5th grades will meet in the Kids Worship Room. Completed 4K and completed Kindergarten will meet in JTown 272.
|Refresh: A Time of Prayer
Friday, May 22
Come for an hour or stay through the night as we gather for this church-wide prayer event on Friday, May 22 starting at 7 pm in the Chapel. There will be times of music, testimony, directed group prayer and personal prayer. Bring your family to intercede for our nation, our leaders and government officials, our pastor and staff, our missionaries, and other specific needs.

|Join the Choir & Orchestra
Rehearsals each Wednesday
The Jonesboro Worship Choir and Orchestra welcomes new singers and musicians.
CHOIR: The choir welcomes everyone 18 years or older who loves Jesus, is passionate about leading worship, can commit to weekly rehearsals and services, and can carry a tune! Auditions not required for choir participation. Rehearsals are held at 6:45 pm in the Choir Room.
ORCHESTRA: Orchestra participation requires at least two years of experience on an instrument. Woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion are welcome. Rehearsals are held at 6:45 pm in the Worship Center.

The theme for the 2015 summer retreat (June 29 through July 3) will be Endurance based on I Corinthians 9:24. Cost will be $189 plus four meals. Deadline for registration is June 17. Multi-student family discounts are available. Speaker will be Lee McBride and music will be by The Moore Band.
|Student Leaders One Day Conference
The 7th annual conference will be held on Monday, July 20 from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the FBJ Fellowship Hall. Cost is $10 per student. Guest facilitators include The Honorable Judge Bobby Simmons, Clayton County Juvenile Court Judge (and saxophone player in the FBJ orchestra); Dr. Debbie Phillips, President of The Quadrillion and Adjunct Professor at UGA and Georgia Tech (and mother of FBJ’s Anna Scott); and Rev. David Guinn, President of Action Ministries/Olympic Sports Chaplain (mentor of Larry Lawrence since 1968).
The College & Young Adult ministry has announced a Beach Trip to Fort Myers, Florida July 20-24, 2015. Enjoy the beach, serving and worship. Cost is $120; $20 non-refundable deposit is due July 13. See Mike Blackaby or Cress Welch for payment or register on-line (coming soon).
The annual adult trip to the Celebrator’s Conference will be held October 19-22 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Join us for worship and messages from David Jeremiah, Charles Billingsley, The Erwins, Ken Davis (comedy), The Annie Moses Band, Sandi Patti, Larnelle Harris, Wayne Watson, Phil Waldrep and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers.
