International Lord's Supper

Real Talk at the Cafe
Tuesday, November 4, 6:30 pm
All women are invited to come as you are on Tuesday, November 4, and enjoy fellowship, Bible study and prayer. Melody Allread will talk with women and share a devotional followed by a time of prayer. Doors at the Cafe open at 5:45 pm; program starts at 6:30 pm.

Baptist Men's Breakfast
Saturday, November 8, 8 am
Enjoy a hot breakfast with Associate Pastor of Missions Lanny Loe at 8 am on Saturday, November 8 in the Fellowship Hall. Cost is $3. Receive information about upcoming mission trips. Reservations are not required.

Ladies' Christmas Luncheon
Saturday, November 15
The Annual Ladies’ Christmas Luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 15, in the Fellowship Hall. Doors open at 10 am; Luncheon begins at 11:45 am. Shop with vendors until 11:30 am. Door prizes will be given away. Beginning October 12, tickets and will be available on Sundays, during the week at the church office or on-line. Cost for ticket is $15. Saturday, November 15
A Gift-a-Thon will be held Saturday, November 15, from 1:30 to 7 pm at the Cafe. This is an opportunity to make gift boxes for the needy and care packages for the homeless. We will also knit hats and scarves (bring your knitting supplies). Come and stay as long as you can. Enjoy Christmas music, treats and movies. Dinner is provided. Quest for Respect
Wednesday, November 19
On Wednesday, November 19, Camfel will return to The ROC with 90 feet of screen, three projectors, awesome music as well as movie and sports clips to present “Quest for Respect.” This production examines the need to be accepted, loved and respected. Unfortunately, the self worth of many is based on the number of likes on Facebook or how many positive comments are received after posting the latest “selfie.” Somehow it is perceived that the more exposed people are, the more admired they are. But, in reality they are just more exposed. Quest for Respect will also examine the willingness of many to compromise values in an attempt to find a place to fit in. It will also explore the rationale for getting involved in the wrong things and aligning with bullies in order to find acceptance. In addition, this production will demonstrate that true respect is a by-product of how lives are lived each day, and will teach how to react in crisis and how to treat others.

Music & Madness with Mark Lowry, The Martins & Jason Crabb
Friday, November 21, 7 pm

The Music & Madness Tour is coming to First Baptist Jonesboro. This is a ticketed event. Tickets on sale beginning Sunday, October 19 and may be purchased at church on Sundays and in the church office during the week. Cost: $24. You will be blessed by Mark Lowry, The Martins and Jason Crabb. Mark is a singer, storyteller, humorist, author and songwriter, whose lyric to "Mary Did You Know?" resulted in one of the loved modern Christmas songs of this century.

Thanksgiving Dinner
Sunday, November 23, 4:30 pm

The FBJ Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Sunday, November 23, at 4:30 pm in the ROC Ticket are now on sale Sunday mornings in the Welcome Center and weekdays at the ROC. Cost is $3 per ticket or $15 per household family. Every person must have a ticket to attend.

Jingle Jam
Friday, December 5

All parents and children (including preschool) are invited to the West Wing of the ROC on Friday, December 5 at 7 pm for Jingle Jam. It will be a night of Christmas songs, skits, videos, laughter, silliness and most importantly the telling of the Real Christmas Story.

Date "Night"
Saturday, November 6, 10 am - 2 pm

You and your spouse are invited to a Date "Night" on Saturday, December 6, from 10 am to 2 pm. This special time is designed for parents to do Christmas shopping, gift wrapping and have time together on a Saturday. Free childcare is offered through 8th grade. Reindeer Dodgeball
Wednesday, December 17, 6-7:30 pm

The 2nd Annual Reindeer Dodgeball Games will be held Wednesday, December 17 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm in the West Wing of the ROC. Cost is $10 per team (not per player) for 6 to 8 member team. Both guys and girls can participate. See Larry Lawrence for information.

College & Young Adult Winter Retreat
Friday-Saturday, December 19-20

The 5th Annual Winter Retreat will be held at Camp Carter on December 19-20. It begins Friday at 6 pm and ends at 3 pm on Saturday. Speaker will be Wes Patterson from Phoenix Community Church, Atlanta. Music will be provided by Brad Cleveland from Brentwood Baptist Church, Nashville. Cost is $25. Christmas Eve
Wednesday, December 24, 5 pm

First Baptist Jonesboro will celebrate our Savior's birth with a beautiful candlelight service at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 24 in the Worship Center. Bring family and friends as we worship God's greatest gift, Jesus Christ. Nursery will be available for children 3 and younger.

Snowball 2014 

December 29 - January 1

The National Snowball Conference will be held at The Woodlands in Cleveland, Georgia from December 29 to January 1. This year’s theme is “Application” based on James 1:22 and II Timothy 2:15. Cost is $109 which includes transportation, three nights of lodging, eight meals and a shirt. Multi-student prices are available. Additional items are available for purchase.
