Spring Semester starts in January
|Join the Choir & Orchestra - Open Enrollment
Rehearsals each Wednesday
The Jonesboro Worship Choir and Orchestra welcomes new singers and musicians in January.
CHOIR: The choir welcomes everyone 18 years or older who loves Jesus, is passionate about leading worship, can commit to weekly rehearsals and services, and can carry a tune! Auditions not required for choir participation. Rehearsals are held at 6:45 pm in the Choir Room.
ORCHESTRA: Orchestra participation requires at least two years of experience on an instrument. Woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion are welcome. Rehearsals resume January 7 at 6:45 pm in the Worship Center.

|Kids Camp Registration
Kids Camp is July 20-24 at Camp Calvin. Registration opens on-line Monday, January 19 at www.fbcjonesboro.com (news & events). Cost is $150 per child. Family discounts available. |Encouraging Conversations with Parents
Sunday, January 25, 12:30 - 3:30 pm
The first parent conference of 2015, 10 Tips for Answering Your Children's Toughest Questions, will be held on Sunday, January 25 from 12:30 to 3:30 pm in the ROC. Larry and Anna Lawrence will be facilitating this parent strengthening discussion. This event is open to all parents and grandparents. Registration is required by January 22. Childcare is provided by registration only. Lunch is available at $5 per adult and $3 per child (registration required). Call 770.471.1573 to make reservations.

A Women’s Ministry Pinterest Party will be held on Friday, January 30 at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Sign-up is available in the Welcome Center Sunday and on-line through Tuesday, January 27 only. Cost to participate is $10. Childcare is available upon reservation with Leisa Martin (call 770.478.6710). Deadline to reserve childcare is noon on Tuesday, January 27.
|GBC Disaster Relief Training
Saturday, January 31
Georgia Baptist Convention Disaster Relief 2015 Phase 1 Training will be held on Saturday, January 31, at Harps Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville. This training is required for all volunteers. At this credentialing session, volunteers will receive an introduction to the ministry of Disaster Relief and an orientation to the ministry area of choice. Once a volunteer has become a credentialed Disaster Relief volunteer, recertification is required every three years. |Real Talk at the Café
Tuesday, February 3, 6:30 pm
Real Talk will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at 6:30 at the Café. Come enjoy truly “real” and “honest” talk at the café. Join a group of diverse ladies as we walk through the everyday trials and joys of being a believer in today’s crazy world. Real Talk is a great “girl friend” night out and a great mother/daughter opportunity as well. Michelle Fox will be interviewed this month and Melody Allred will teach on being a “real” Christian. Come also if you have a burden and need prayer. Real Talk @ The Café is a just a time to connect, laugh, cry, pray and share burdens.
|Churchwide Valentine's Banquet
Saturday, February 7, 5:30 pm
The churchwide Marriage Matters Valentine Banquet, will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $20 per couple or $10 per single. Couples married for 50 years or more will only pay $5 to attend. To purchase tickets, come to the Welcome Center on Sundays beginning January 4. To purchase you tickets on-line, click here. Deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, February 4. The featured speakers, back by popular demand, will be Jeff & Debby McElroy.
|Senior Adult Valentine's Banquet
Thursday, February 12, 11:30 am - 1 pm
The banquet will be held on Thursday, February 12 from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Singer/guitarist Rick Jordan will provide entertainment. There is no charge but reservations are necessary. Call Janet McGrotha at 770.603.8502 by Thursday, February 5 or sign up in the Welcome Center on Sundays January 25 and February 1.
