What to Expect on Sunday
Worship Times
On Sundays, First Baptist Jonesboro has two morning worship services (8:00 AM & 10:45 AM) and our Fresh Encounter Prayer Service (6:00 PM). It is helpful if you arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to the start of the service to allow time for parking and seating.
Parking
Parking for our guests is located on all of the lots surrounding the church. Handicap parking is available in the two College Street parking lots. We have plenty of parking volunteers on all the streets surrounding the church to help you find a place to park.
Welcome Center
The Welcome Center is located in St. James Place which is located just outside the doors of the Worship Center. Greeters will answer your questions and escort you to the Worship Center or to a Sunday School class. We would love to meet you after the service as well. Pastor Mel has a guest reception area located in the Foyer. Stop by and meet him after each morning service.
Dress
Come as you are. We are more concerned about meeting your needs than what you wear. You will find men in khaki pants and a polo shirt, a suit or even jeans. Ladies will wear a dress, pants suit, or jeans. You can dress up or down; what matters is that you come ready to worship God.
Babies & Children
First Baptist Jonesboro provides preschool childcare at both morning services so parents can experience a meaningful time of worship. Preschoolers age 4 though kindergarten can participate in Preschool Praise during the 10:45 AM service and children 1st - 3rd grade may attend G-Force.
Sunday School Classes
There is a Sunday School Class for all members of your family.These classes provide the opportunity for you to meet new people and to nurture authentic friendships with people who are seeking fellowship and spiritual growth just like you. We encourage you to drop in on a Sunday School Class when you visit. Our volunteers at the Welcome Center would love to help you find a class.
