FAMILY MINISTRY ASSISTANT

The Family Ministry Assistant provides administrative, organizational, and ministry support to the Family Pastor while serving students, children, families, and the Wonderfully Made Ministry. This role requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to actively participate in ministry events and programs.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Family Pastor and Family Ministry Team.
- Maintain ministry inventory, office supplies, curriculum, and event materials.
- Keep ministry offices and storage areas organized and welcoming.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordination of ministry programs and events.
Event Coordination
- Support weekly programming, discipleship groups, camps, retreats, VBS, Fall Festival, baby dedication, and other ministry events.
- Manage registrations, communications, supplies, and logistics for assigned events.
- Assist with event setup, teardown, and preparation.
Ministry Leadership
- Partner with Family Pastor to encourage and disciple families.
- Serve as a positive Christian leader during ministry activities.
- Support the vision and mission of the Family Ministry, especially Student Ministry.
Communication & Technology
- Communicate effectively with volunteers, families, and ministry participants.
- Manage ministry emails and coordinate information across Family Ministry areas.
- Utilize church management software, Microsoft Office, and other digital tools.
- Work with the Communications Team to maintain Student Ministry social media.
Physical Requirements
This position includes regular physical activity, including lifting and carrying supplies, setting up and dismantling equipment, organizing event spaces, and standing or moving for extended periods. Work may occur indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software and technology.
- Team-oriented, dependable, flexible, and committed to supporting the mission of the church and Family Ministry.
